Metropolitan city of Turin launches table on Vda border roads

The Metropolitan City of Turin will open a table on the problems of the road network that have been affecting the municipalities bordering the Valle d’Aosta for some time. The confirmation came from the metropolitan deputy mayor, Jacopo Suppo, at the end of an inspection in Quincinetto, during which he met the mayors and councilors of the area. The first stage of the inspection is the bridge between the Quincinetto motorway exit and state road 26, where the union ordinance has been in force for a few weeks which prohibits the passage of vehicles weighing more than 26 tons. “The Metropolitan City – recalled Suppo – has for years activated a quarterly technical verification service to support the Municipality in assessing the conditions of the bridge, but in the light of the needs expressed by the Municipality we are ready to intensify this technical activity even on a monthly basis”. During the day, the situation of the provincial road 69 was also examined, where it is necessary to proceed with interventions agreed upon territorially and not for individual municipal realities. For this large area lens, he has ensured the activation of a table that will be established shortly. The artery, it was underlined, “is very important and very busy and would become the alternative connection in the event of the possible closure of the A5 motorway between Quincinetto and Ivrea”.
