Auto: Anfia, -2.1% sector production index

“After five months with positive signs, the Italian automotive production index is once again recording a decline, albeit limited to 2.1%”. This was stated by Gianmarco Giorda, director general of Anfia. “With a trend reversal, the motor vehicle manufacturing index – explains Giorda – also reports a decline in the month (-2%), as does the production index of parts and accessories for motor vehicles and their engines (-4 Lastly, the production of cars, according to preliminary data from Anfia, fell by 2.5% in the month, with a loss of about 1,000 units compared to January 2022. To support production levels, especially in reference low environmental impact technologies, we believe it is necessary to intervene on the incentives for the purchase of cars and light commercial vehicles currently in force. We ask that the resources left over from the 2022 incentive campaign, amounting to 295 million incentives 0-20 and 61-135 g/km of CO2 for the purchase of cars and to the extent of incentives for the purchase of light commercial vehicles.

Still with reference to car incentives, we also reiterate the need to open access to the 0-20 and 21-60 brackets to legal entities and to bring the incentives for rental companies to 100%, from the current 50%. .
