The Urbanmax Commuter is suitable for being fitted to any type of vehicle and Goodyear’s Electric Drive Ready philosophy certifies that it can be used on electric, hybrid and traditional combustion vehicles. This last figure represents a logistical advantage for dealers, who can have in stock a single tire suitable for each type of vehicle. The new Urbanmax Commuter also meets the requirements of new electric vehicles and this makes it useful for all those fleets that are in the transition phase from conventional to electric engines.
In addition to being optimized for the technical requirements of modern buses, the Goodyear tire was designed with particular attention to the evolution of the European context of urban mobility, which aims to reduce CO2 emissions.
In terms of structure, the Urbanmax Commuter features a sturdier sidewall, to increase its resistance to wear and damage, improving the sustainability and preservation of the tire carcass, as well as guaranteeing passengers a more comfortable journey. Also incorporated into the tire is a Radio Frequency Identification chip, which allows tires to be managed more efficiently.
