Provincial roads, six small Pontine municipalities financed

Six small Pontine municipalities have obtained funding or co-financing for extraordinary maintenance and regulatory adaptation to service the provincial road network.

At the expiry of the deadline set by the public announcement of the Province, which activated a structural measure included in the budget, ten proposals arrived from the Municipalities involved, those with a population of up to 5,000 inhabitants.

The Commission then drew up the ranking admitting the Castelforte projects to co-financing; Spigno Saturnia; Applefield; Norm; Prossedi and Ponza. The total amount of funding that will be disbursed by the Province amounts to 184,753 euros.

“This structural measure – comments the President of the Province Gerardo Stefanelli – allows us to help small municipalities that often do not have the financial resources to carry out interventions of a certain magnitude. At the same time we invest in road safety throughout the territory and favor the implementation of sustainable mobility networks, also supporting the preparation and commissioning of charging stations for electric or hybrid vehicles. Ultimately, the Province fulfills its role as a point of reference for all municipal administrations”.
