With the XM Label Red, BMW intends to satisfy the needs of a clientele looking for a performance car and, at the same time, capable of going beyond conventions. Production of the SUV, which will have its world premiere at the Shanghai motor show, will begin in August at the Spartanburg plant in the United States.
Thanks to the xDrive all-wheel drive, the XM Label Red, through its plug-in hybrid power unit, brings the system power to 748 HP, 95 HP more than the BMW XM, while the torque, increased by 200 Nm, reaches touch 1,000 Nm.
Performance is important, with a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and a top speed which, with the Driver’s Package, reaches 290 km/h. Furthermore, thanks to the 25.7 kWh battery, it can travel up to 83 km in electric mode (WLTP cycle) reaching a maximum zero-impact speed of 140 km/h. The dynamics are enhanced by the electronically controlled differential lock for the rear axle, which allows for variable distribution of drive torque between the rear wheels.
Above all, the BMW XM Label Red can count on the M Professional adaptive suspension, electronically controlled shock absorbers, active roll stabilization and integral Active Steering.
