The Carabinieri of the Rome Tor Bella Monaca station arrested two people aged 59 and 46, both already known to the police, for the crime of attempted aggravated theft in competition.

The soldiers, passing through via di Rocca Cencia, noticed the two suspects fumbling with a padlock on a chain, placed to close a gate of a disused building, after getting out of a van, and decided to intervene. The Carabinieri blocked the two men, and carried out a search of the shed. Inside the premises, the military found and seized four carcasses of the Fiat Panda, all of which were stolen and with missing mechanical and body parts.

Subsequent investigations carried out by the military revealed that the van used by the two subjects had been stolen and therefore they triggered the complaint in a state of freedom for the crime of receiving stolen goods.

The arrest of the two was validated and they were required to sign with the Judicial Police.
