Stellantis: Napolitano, “ready for new Ypsilon production”

Lancia is ready for the production of the new Ypsilon. The CEO of the brand Luca Napolitano announced it on his social channels: “Today – writes Lancia’s number one – another chapter of our Renaissance plan begins. I am happy to be able to announce that we are ready with the production of the new Ypsilon: it will be the the first of the three cars in the brand’s new Renaissance plan and will be launched in 2024 in a 100% electric and 48-volt hybrid version.
It is a 4-metre car which covers the needs of segment B, the second largest segment on the market. Elegant and innovative, more European and very modern.
It will be a beautiful Lancia, beautiful on the outside and beautiful on the inside where it will truly feel like being in the living room of an Italian home. Lancia – concludes Napolitano – has a 10-year plan which provides for a light and efficient line of products: New Ypsilon in 2024, Gamma in 2026 and Delta in 2028, a new product every 2 years. The electrification strategy foresees that from 2026 Lancia will offer 100% electric cars, while from 2028 it will sell only 100% electric cars.” The New Ypsilon, the first car of Lancia’s new era, will be produced in the Spanish plant in Zaragoza.
Inaugurated in 1982, Zaragoza is one of the Stellantis production plants which, in line with the Stellantis Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, stands out for the use of renewable energy and environmentally friendly production methods and maximum attention to quality. In March 2023, the plant celebrated the production of the 15 millionth vehicle.
