Debut on the Italian market for the new Mercedes E-Class, for over 75 years the absolute reference for medium-class luxury sedans. The price list starts at 68,531 euros for the E 200 Advanced Berlina and at 71,093 euros for the Station Wagon variant. Eight versions are planned for the sedan and six for the station wagon.
The new E-Class Saloon has the proportions of a classic notchback saloon, with the short front overhang and long bonnet, followed by the passenger compartment set far back.
The ‘cab backward’ design is complemented by the balanced rear overhang. A black panel-like surface then connects the radiator grille to the headlights. This inlay in high-gloss black is visually reminiscent of the Mercedes-EQ models.
The new E-Class is equipped as standard with High Performance LED headlights. As optional equipment, Digital Light is available without and with projection function. The daytime running lights are designed in the brand-typical eyebrow shape.
The Superscreen Mbux, on the other hand, stands out in its interior design and the on-board digital experience is characterized by the instrument panel. If the E-Class is equipped with the optional passenger screen, the large glass surface of the Mbux Superscreen extends all the way to the center display.
In terms of energy efficiency, half of all models will be fourth-generation plug-in hybrids. The product range will already reach this high share at the time of market launch.
Compared to the previous model, the E-Class Estate has grown by 28 millimeters in width. This means further improved living conditions for the passengers in the rear. Rear elbow room comes in at 1,519mm. The wheelbase has increased by 22 millimeters to the current 2,961 millimeters. This gives rear passengers more knee and legroom. The load compartment can be expanded from 615 liters up to 1,830 litres.
