The new Transit Connect offers greater load capacity, up to 3.7 m3, and will also be available in the Combi version, equipped with a second row of seats that can be moved forward and extended vertically, integrating into the dividing bulkhead and thus increasing the loading volume.
The new generation also stands out for its advanced technologies, digital and connected dashboard and optional all-wheel drive. Each vehicle can then access the Ford Pro ecosystem, which offers software solutions such as the Telematics fleet management system, the FordLiive downtime monitoring and reduction service, and digital assistance with predictive maintenance.
“Over the last two years – commented Hans Schep, general manager Ford Pro Europe – we have electrified the Transit family to help every type of customer accelerate their productivity and make their business more sustainable and efficient. Our new Transit Connect complete this important mission.”
The new Transit Connect, the third generation of the Ford Pro van, joins the new Transit Courier and the 100% electric E-Transit Courier in the compact van offering. The new Transit Connect will enter production in spring 2024, with deliveries expected during the summer for the first examples with diesel engines.
The Transit Connect Phev will join the offer by the end of the year, while the range will be completed at the beginning of 2025 with the all-wheel drive models and the Combi version.
