Karma Automotive, the luxury vehicle manufacturer based in Irvine, California (owned by the Chinese Wanxiang Group since 2014) presented the Gyesera sedan, its second 100% electric model, which joins the Kaveya coupé (1,180 HP, 125 battery kW and 0-100 sprint of less than 3 seconds) and the hybrid Revero which has a total of 536 HP and offers an electric-only range of 105 km.
Designed by Michelle Christensen, vice president of Karma, global design – and previously creator of the latest generation of the Honda Nsx – Gyesera celebrates the tenth anniversary of the Californian company and represents, according to the company, a technological evolution also compared to the very recent Kaveya coupé.
Karma Automotive – on the occasion of the reveal which took place at the Amelia Island Concours – did not communicate details on the new sedan, but in his speech the president Marques McCammon anticipated, alluding to the Kaveya that “Gyesera stands out because the calibration of the powertrain is different, because the driving software is different, particularly in acceleration 0 – 100, and because the chassis configuration is different.”
“Gyesera, with its modern look, feel and superior performance,” McCammon said, “is our bridge to the future; the embodiment of Karma’s revitalized business direction.”
