Porsche, the new Taycan Turbo GT is the fastest in the world

Two new electric sedans from Porsche are arriving on the market and they are the evolution of the Taycan Turbo S, i.e. the Taycan Turbo GT and the Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach package. And in this version the Porsche won the title of fastest production electric car on the Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca circuit.
The Taycan Turbo GT and Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach package represent Porsche’s new sporty flagship models, and feature a more powerful pulse inverter, with both cars producing 580 kW. With launch control the power increases up to 760 kW in overboost mode or up to 815 kW for two seconds. Added to which is the attack mode which makes up to 120 kW of additional power available for 10 seconds.
The Taycan Turbo GT takes just 2.3 seconds to sprint from zero to 100 km/h, or just 2.2 seconds with the Weissach package.
This makes the model one or two tenths of a second faster than the Taycan Turbo S. The difference in acceleration from standstill to 200 km/h is even greater: 6.6 or 6.4 seconds for the Taycan Turbo GT without or with Weissach package, which sprints up to 1.3 seconds faster than the Taycan Turbo S. In both Taycan Turbo GT models, pulse inverters with a maximum current of 900 amps are used on the rear axle. These provide even more power and torque than the Taycan Turbo S’s 600-amp pulse inverter.
Maximum torque in both versions reaches 1,340 Nm and at maximum power, with both cars capable of producing more than 1,100 hp. The driving range of the Taycan Turbo GT models is up to 555 km according to WLTP cycle measurements. Furthermore, thanks to numerous carbon components, Porsche has reduced the weight of the Taycan Turbo GT by up to 75 kg compared to the Taycan Turbo S.
