The new Aston Martin Vantage is the fastest ever

To represent the quintessential sports car according to Aston Martin, the new Vantage arrives. Designed to be the fastest Vantage ever, the new arrival enters the scene as a true celebration of the 74 years of history of the brand, between maximum performance and lots of safety.
The design has been revisited and the recipe for sportiness has a simple yet timeless recipe, namely front engine and rear-wheel drive, a candidate to continue a history that dates back to 1950, when the name Vantage was used for the first time to indicate a package of engines upgraded for the racing DB2.
The first time the Vantage term was used as a model name was in 1964, when a high-performance Vantage version of the DB5 became the new flagship of the range. A stand-alone Vantage model was introduced in the early Seventies and since then the name has played an increasingly important role in Aston Martin’s model range.
“As we enter a period of crucial change in the world of high-performance cars – said Amedeo Felisa, CEO of Aston Martin – it is essential to remain faithful to the qualities on which a legendary brand was built. Every car that bears the Vantage name has to live up to it, and that’s why the latest model is committed to delivering high performance in its purest and most explicit form.” Powered by a reworked and hand-built 4.0 Twin-Turbo V8 engine, the new Vantage is the most fast in the history of the brand. With peaks of 665 hp and 800 Nm of torque, it also makes the biggest leap forward in power and torque compared to the previous model, with increases of 155 hp and 115 Nm equating to gains of 30% and 15% respectively.
Paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, the engine can push the two-seater sports car to a top speed of 202 mph and take it from rest to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. Acceleration from a standstill has been improved with the introduction of the new Launch Control system.

Built around Aston Martin’s latest generation aluminum alloy structure, the Vantage features an improved body structure to deliver more precise and engaging dynamics thanks to additional underbody stiffening components for greater overall torsional rigidity.
The 30mm wider body, with a more muscular stance, is accentuated by a completely redesigned front end with a 38% larger reconfigured grille opening, offering a 29% increase in mass airflow for greater cooling. The new Vantage sees the return of Aston Martin’s iconic side strake, now forming the focal point of the revised air intakes on each side.
The new generation Vantage also has a new cabin, lined with the finest materials and equipped with cutting-edge connected technology and a surround sound system developed by audio partner Bowers & Wilkins. The first deliveries are scheduled for the second quarter of this year.
