The Californian S-Klub is known in the world of tuning and restomods, that is, modernized classic cars, for an appreciated activity within the Three-Pointed Star. Usually starting from ‘donor cars’ based on the SLK, the specialist adapts bodies that reproduce the iconic 300 Sl also in the Gullwing variant, and then completes them with high-quality finishes.
But with the EV 300, John Sarkisyan, CEO of S-Klub, went one step further, as the base Mercedes SLK was replaced with a Tesla Model 3.
The car, which was exhibited for the first time at the Sema Show in Las Vegas in 2023, is therefore the result of an unusual but successful transplant, aimed not only at obtaining 100% electric performance, but also at using – as much as possible – the electronic architecture of the Model 3.
With meticulous design and artisanal construction work, the Testa has been adapted to the new bodywork while maintaining all its specific features, such as the Adas with related sensors and video camera or the doors that open by pressing a button.
As photos of the EV 300 – now up for sale on the S-Klub website – reveal, the steering wheel and dashboard are also Tesla-style, creating a contrast that is underlined by the Tiffany blue upholstery.
The same characteristic color is found on the outside, as it has been used for the longitudinal stripes that stand out on the pearl white bodywork and that also customizes the large 18-inch wheels fitted with Toyo R888R tires. All for a price that according to unofficial sources exceeds 1 million dollars.
