Genesis X Gran Coupé and X Grand Convertible, Emotional Luxury

The new Era of Genesis, the Premium brand of Hyundai which focuses more and more towards luxury, starts with the X Gran Coupe and X Grand Convertible models (both derived from the G90 Admiralglia) which have been revealed to the 2025 edition of the Seoul Mobility Show.
The result of the happy pencil by Luc Donckerwolke Chief Creative Officer of the Hyundai Group and therefore of the Genesis brand, both concepts prove the vision of the future of the brand, increasingly aimed at an emotional luxury and through the most advanced technologies. And that for quality and equipment they have nothing to envy to the most prestigious German and British luxury brand.
All this – however, is done by Genesis without giving up that conceptual ‘lightness’ that has characterized other previous concepts and, in general, the most recent Genesis range.
So in X Gran Coupe Concept different elements of the internal finishes refer to the centuries -old beauty of the Mediterranean olive trees while in the X Grand Convertible Concept there are aesthetic accents linked to the world of great Tuscan wines.
Being a further interpretative evolution of the G90 Admiral, X Grand Convertible Concept, for example, promises to make a general architecture available to customers (external and internal design, equipment and driving dynamics) ensures freedom of movement and expression and a better experience with open roof for a direct connection with the surrounding environment.
In turn, X Grand Coupe squeezes the eye to the world of large flagships with a ‘perfectly declined’ lounge ‘inside the 3180 mm wheelbase (the car is 5.75 m long) and designed to allow a great quality of life on board.
“In the 10th anniversary that have passed since the launch of our brand – said Mike Song Global Manager of Genesis – we have committed ourselves to provide our unique values to over 1.3 million customers scattered all over the world”.
“We intend to seize this opportunity as a launching pad for a new decade by presenting the models that express the search for Genesis in high -performance technology and in the future design of luxury models”.
On the front, both concepts are characterized by the unmistakable optical dual line group groups, which extend towards the typical Crest grid. In the lower area, large air intakes finished with a material grilling underline the sporting nature of X Grand Coupe and X Grand Convertible.
In addition to the elongated hood, both concepts are appreciated in the view of profile for the prolongation of the lighthouse line extend up to the front arches increasing the sense of presence, a dowry that is highlighted in turn by the carriageways, wider than the G90 sedan.
X Gran Coupe and X Grand Convertible are characterized by a more inclined windshield and a reduced roof line in order to generate bold profiles. The goalkeeper without uprights have been expanded to create elongated and seamless profiles, while the windows without frames and total descent develop an elegant and accentuated side profile.
For X Gran Coupe Concept, Genesis’ designers have chosen to integrate the visual roof line with the tail with a solution that recalls the shapes of the sports sedans.
The Belt line of X Grand Convertible Concept was instead further lengthened backwards by dividing the bodywork from the top.
The logos of Genesis flush and the retractable retractable cameras reflect the High-Tech approach to detail. The trunk is operated without any contact, but thanks to a simple gesture of the hand: in this way the physical buttons become superfluous.
