The new demi-car Renault was called Emblème at a very high level of decarbonisation, designed for families. Made by Ampere, the group of the group dedicated to electric cars and the development of software, emits 90% less than greenhouse gases in all its life cycle (CO2E) compared to the 2019 reference models.
The analysis of the life cycle, which allows to evaluate the environmental impact, from the extraction of the raw materials to the recycling phase for each model, for the emblenda, reaches just 5 tons of overall CO2E: a value clearly lower than that, albeit virtuous, of the megane e-tech electric which corresponds to 25 tons of CO2E. The result of a collaboration with about twenty partners, this car has obtained a 70% reduction in Carbon Footprint in the production of the materials it is composed, it was made containing the weight to 1,800 kg, and can be recyclable for over 90%.
The design has the style of a Shooting Brake event, given that the Emblème is 4.80 meters long and 1.52 meters high, and is enhanced by the dicroic green color of the bodywork that takes on different shades depending on the angle and light.
In addition, the car boasts an aerodynamics made with the digital simulation tools of the F1 BWT Alpine team, so much so that the values of SCX, equal to 0.60, and of the CX, corresponding to 0.25, were known to engineers before the demo-car was physically made. The flat bottom with active speaker is also inspired by F1.
Large the passenger compartment due to the 2.90 meter wheelbase, with the 74 -liter front loading space adding to the 556 liter rear trunk. The interior of the anmblème shows off a colored fabric that covers both the dashboard and the upper part of the door panels and the back of the rear bench, recreating a graphic motif that depicts natural expanses and urban spaces. In the context, the central place stands out, moved back compared to the rest of the bench, to offer a comfortable width for the shoulders and a panoramic vision of the passenger compartment and the road to those who deal with it.
The immersive audio system with 14 speakers makes use of the exclusive configuration signed Jean-Michel Jarre, while the dashboard is dominated by the curved Openr display of 1.2 meters length and 12 cm in height with 8K quality and a diagonal of 48 inches. The multimedia system is managed through a second touchscreen located on the central console and a wheel completed by controls behind the wheel.
There is no shortage of digital commands, which is associated with a decrease in physical, and vocal keys. Thanks to the automatic LED deactivation in the black visualization areas and the targeted reduction in the brightness of the screen, the car manages to improve the decarbonisation even when using.
In the bold shapes of the anmblème we find an electric motor with a wrapped rotor, without rare earth, 160 kW that can be powered by the 40 kWh NMC battery positioned under the platform, and the 30 kW pemfc fuel cell powered by low carbon hydrogen contained in the 2.8 kg tank located under the front hood. The traction is rear, while the architecture is based on the AMPR medium platform.
By combining the battery fuel cell, this demo-car manages to add the advantages of the two technologies to offer greater autonomy, so much so that it can make trips up to 1,000 km in a time equivalent to that of thermal vehicles without electric charging, only with two full of hydrogen that are carried out in less than five minutes by providing 350 kilometers of autonomy every time.
