At the Shanghai Lexus Motor Show, he presented the new ES, thanks to a range of Full Hybrid and Full Electric engines, and the possibility of choosing between front or integral traction. It will arrive in Europe in 2026, and sales will begin in the first quarter of next year.
The specifications for the old continent, however, will be announced later.
Developed through a new design concept called Clean Tech X Elegence, the new ES shows a simple and clean aesthetic, capable of combining a bold presence with a minimalist approach. In the whole, the evolution of the characteristic “hourglass” grid stands out, the side view is slender and aerodynamic, with a fluid silhouette characterized by a tailless look, and the rear view offers a fluid profile that extends from tires back to the trunk.
Inside the superfluous details have been eliminated in order to create a simple, clean and sophisticated space. The rear area of the passenger compartment can be equipped with reclining seats and with a support for the legs for the seat located behind the front passenger, while the front passenger seat is equipped with a forward folding function, to maximize the space for the legs of the rear passengers.
The speakers of the Mark Levinson audio system have a positioning aimed at increasing the sound quality, and the dashboard has few physical keys and two screens, respectively for digital instrumentation and infotainment, with the latter that stands at the center at the same height of the instrument panel.
The ES 300h Full Hybrid model features a power unit intended for western Europe markets, with enhanced battery and an electric sector combined with a 2.5 -liter four -cylinder engine, for a power of 201 HP. Traction can be front and integral. The ES350E represents the electric alternative, it will be produced with the front -wheel drive, it delivers 224 HP, and uses a high capacity battery positioned under the floor, to lower the center of gravity.
