Rina, the boat that celebrates the passion for driving

AM presented Rina, a two -seater boat that will be handmade in just 30 specimens a year. The car is inspired by the cars of the 60s but is equipped with modern technology. Its timeless design hides a carbon fiber monocoque and a V8 5.0 aspirated engine. Designed for the purists of the guide, it will be built at Valfenera d’Asti, in Piedmont, presents the typical proportions of the racing boats of the golden age of the road races, with a long hood, powerful fenders and a tail just mentioned.

The bodywork is made of carbon fiber strengthened with aramid fiber (Kevlar), to resist small bumps, and is embellished, further by the hinges of the hoods and the rims that recall the wheels of the 60s cars. The passenger compartment, finished with well -kept and essential details at the same time, is made around the driver, as evidenced by the instruments suspended from the elliptical shape, which highlights the tachometer in a central position. The seats, obtained directly in the monocoque, are covered with material treated to give it an evident vintage effect.
With a carbon fiber monocoque with a weight contained in just 71 kg, thanks to a torsional rigidity of about 101,000 Nm/degree, and a flexional rigidity of 2.24 kn/mm, Rina offers the ideal housing to the 5 -liter V8, built entirely in aluminum, which is mounted in a central front position, and is coupled to a 6 -speed transaxle manual gearbox, to improve the distribution of the distribution of the Weights, and the self -locking rear differential, to make the most of the available power. In addition, it boasts front and rear suspended quadrilateral suspensions, to further enhance the driving precision, and forged disabled wheels, designed ad hoc for Rina with a diameter of 19 inches to the front and 20 inches on the rear, which fit pneumatic Pirelli p zero Trophy RS. While the Brembo braking system has fixed 6 -piston calipers, coupled with self -propelled discs with a diameter of 360 mm in the poison and fixed pliers with 4 piston coupled with self -propelled discs with a diameter of 350 mm per rear. If desired, you can have the carbioramic braking system in option.
Considering the type of engine, the emptiness of about 1000 kg, distributed at 50% between the two axes, and a weight/power ratio near 2, Rina promises driving sensations of other times supported by the best current technology.
