In the exclusive setting of Villa del Grumello on Lake Como, the German Bovensielan Automobile revealed, in the ‘championcarso’ concomitance with the Villa d’Este event, its first ‘few off’, that is, a car built on order in limited series and which derives from an BMW M4.
Designed by Zagato, who added to the elegant lines of the basic model a characteristic form of ‘two humps’ for the roof, the car will be assembled for the customer in the Buchloe plant in Germany, the result of an accurate work of optimizing the basic elements.
This is the case of sports suspensions with special bilstein shock absorbers and sophisticated forged aluminum wheels or external bodywork that uses many ‘light’ elements in carbon fiber. In total, compared to Donor Car, there are 400 completely new pieces and which are the result of the company’s experience.
Bovensiepen Zagato uses a 3.0 -liter six -cylinder in line – derived from that of the M4 – which generates 611 HP and a maximum torque of 700 nm. According to the manufacturer, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes place in just 3.3 seconds, while the maximum speed exceeds 300 km/h.
And to ensure that Bovensiepen wants to transfer to this first model – the end driving – there is also a custom -made titanium exhaust system that has been developed in collaboration with Akrapovič and which guarantees not only the improvement of performance, but also a powerful sound, which enhances the driving pleasure.
It should be underlined – speaking of this new manufacturer – that the name Bovensiepen is not foreign to the automotive sector, given that it is linked to the famous Alpine brand, and which is that of the founder Burkard Bovensiepen who in 1961 created his first tuning activity aimed at the BMW with an elaboration kit with double carburetor for the 1500 model.
In March 2022, after bringing generations of BMW running cars to success, the Alpine was purchased by the BMW group which also holds it at the moment.
The birth of Bovensiepen derives from the Termi of the agreement signed with the Munich house, and which provides at the end of 2025 the cessation of the license to use the Alpine brand to the Bovensiepen family and the definitive passage of the performance brand to BMW.
