(ANSA) – MILAN, FEBRUARY 28 – Piazza Affari is confirmed in sharp decline at the finish line of mid-session on the 5th day of war between Russia and Ukraine and the sanctions applied to Moscow. The Ftse Mib index dropped 2.7% to 25,075 points, remaining slightly above the morning’s lows, while the differential between German 10-year BTPs and Bunds was stable at 160.2 points, with the annual yield down by 4.8 basis points to 1.798%. Under pressure Unicredit (-10.72%), which discounts its exposure in Russia like Pirelli (-8.09%). Intesa (-6.52%), Buzzi (-5.23%), Stellantis (-5.91%), Bper (-4.28%) and Banco Bpm (-3.84%) also slip.

The announcement by EU President Ursula von der Leyen on sending weapons to Ukraine and financing the country to purchase them pushes Leonardo (+ 17.21%) and Fincantieri (+ 19.2%).

Diasorin (+ 4.05%), Tenaris (+ 3.95%), Inwit (+3.26), Saipem (+ 2.12%) and Amplifon (+ 1.36%) also performed well. The rise in crude oil (WTI + 4.78% to 95.97 dollars a barrel) and Brent (+ 4.9% to 98.73 dollars a barrel) does not support Eni (-0.8%). Little moves Snam (-0.2%) and Italgas (-0.52%). (HANDLE).
