Representatives of the Russian auto business fear a collapse in the used car market due to sanctions that affect the supply of auto parts.

According to the KhMAO and YNAO car dealerships, there are 2 weeks of spare parts left in the Russian Federation, writes the local publication Muksun.fm.

If deliveries do not resume in 2 weeks, the used car market will begin chaos.

Warehouses also refuse to sell spare parts, because they do not know what will happen to the supplies and cannot decide on a pricing policy.

“If this continues for three months and there is no supply of spare parts for cars, then this is a collapse in the used car market,” the newspaper writes.

According to experts, this will lead to the fact that motorists will start using non-original spare parts, which will create direct security risk.

Original spare parts will probably be able to enter the country by roundabout routes, but such smuggling will cost many times more.

Problems with imported cars

In addition to problems with a shortage of spare parts, Russians will face a shortage of imported cars of the most popular brands, since large automakers do not want to cooperate with the aggressor country.

About their full or temporary exit from the Russian market reported:

  • Volvo;
  • Ford;
  • Skoda;
  • Volkswagen;
  • Cadillac;
  • Chevrolet;
  • Audi;
  • General Motors;
  • GMC;
  • Jaguar
  • Buick.

The companies also announced the closure of their factories in the Russian Federation, and not only about exiting the market.

Segodnya also wrote how the whole world is helping Ukraine in the fight against the enemy and told which companies have already refused to cooperate with Russia.
