The state will compensate Ukrainians for damages for housing damaged or lost during the war. The money will be given to those Ukrainians who apply to “Dії” or TSNAPy.
The state is developing another option – the provision of living space. This was announced by the head of the Servant of the People party, Elena Shulyak.
What is provided by the new bill
Bill No. 7198 states that instead of funds to people will provide living space limited to 150 sq. m.
Besides, a person will be able to choose the city where he wants to settle.
If, for example, a person lost his home in Kharkiv, then he will be able to choose an apartment with the same characteristics as they were in his house in any other city.
“People who have lost their homes, whose houses have been destroyed or damaged, must register through the Diya app. They will be entitled to receive compensation. The initiative concerns the living quarters of Ukrainian citizens,” Shulyak wrote.
Thus, the state will now be able to calculate losses and calculate the cost of restoring housing. According to Shulyak, we are talking about hundreds of billions of hryvnia.
How to apply for compensation for damaged property in “Dії”
Previously, “Today” wrote that Any Ukrainian can apply through the application if it is damaged or destroyed:
- private house (manor, country or garden);
- flat;
- other residential premises (for which a separate ownership right is registered, and not as part of the house).
And to apply, you need:
- go to “Diyu” and click “Services”, and then “Poshkodzhene mineno”;
- fill out the form with all the required information.
We also said that in order to receive 6,500 hryvnias of support from the state, you should hurry with the application, and also explained how to protect yourself if the employer forces you to go on vacation at your own expense.
