The Irish low-cost airline Ryanair can bring 20 aircraft to Ukraine for basing.

Writes about this fly4free.

The head of the carrier Michael O’Leary told the Polish newspaper that the Polish “daughter” of Ryanair – Buzz can become the operator of all Ukrainian bases.

By the end of October, the fleet of the Polish company will increase to 54 aircraft:

  • 46 aircraft – 189-seat Boeing 737-800;
  • eight more – new 197-seat Boeing 737-8200.

The opening of the bases will allow for more flights from the base airport and will offer passengers a convenient schedule.

Ryanair is represented at five airports in Ukraine:

  • Borispol;
  • Lviv;
  • Odessa;
  • Kherson;
  • Kharkov.

In 2018, the airline launched regular flights to Ukraine.

SkyUp won the case in court

The Supreme Court upheld the complaints of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine (GASU) and SkyUp Airlines. Flights from the international airport “Borispol” on the route Kiev – Istanbul – Kiev remain with the airline.

SkyUp now has three frequencies on the Kiev – Istanbul – Kiev route and uses them in full: flights are operated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

According to Boryspil International Airport, flights to Istanbul are one of the most popular and over the past few months have consistently been in the TOP-3 busiest destinations.

  • Let us remind you that Boryspil will tighten the rules for entering Ukraine for foreigners. They will need to show the border guards an insurance policy and one of three documents: a negative PCR test, an express test, or a certificate of complete vaccination. Self-isolation will also become mandatory.
  • We also reported that the SkyUp low-cost airline announced the arrival of a new aircraft, which became the 14th in a row in the Ukrainian company. The medium-haul Boeing 737-800 NG is already on the territory of the Boryspil international airport.
