During martial law in Ukraine, electricity tariffs will be frozen for a while. However, this does not apply to all Ukrainians, because there are certain conditions.

This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

What awaits the Ukrainians

So electricity prices will not grow for those who will consume up to 250 kWh per month. The price will be 1.44 UAH per kWh. This “freeze” will last for some time.

We continue for at least the next six months the effect of the tariff for electricity in the amount of 1 hryvnia 44 kopecks per kilowatt for those consuming less than 250 kilowatts. This is 80% of our citizens,” Zelensky said.

The President added that preparations for the next heating season have already begun. But the previous one was successful for Ukraine.

“For all the ‘wang’, tariffs have not increased. There were no rolling blackouts. The supply was not disrupted even in wartime,” Zelensky said.

How to pay for electricity during the war
