(ANSA) – TURIN, 09 MAY – Mole Urbana, Umberto Palermo’s electric quadricycle, will have its own factory. Today at Mise some fundamental steps have been developed to proceed with the agreement between the designer, the Blutec commissioners and the Ministry of Economic Development: the former Blutec plant will be transformed and 19 workers will be hired to start the production of Mole Urbana. It is the last step before the signing of the final agreement by the notary for the acquisition by Umberto Palermo of the business unit, expected by June.
Up, the Palermo-based company, will invest 3 million euros for Mole Urbana, a figure which includes the preparation of the new production line.
In the meantime, the activity has already begun in January in the former Stola pilot factory, then Blutec, in Rivoli (Turin), where fittings for commercial vehicles are being built. Up will already have the first batch of vehicles by the end of the year to test and start the assembly line in 2023. Further hires will depend on market response. Up expressed satisfaction with the work with the Blutec commissioners and with the MIse. (HANDLE).
