For the first time in 21 years: Ukrposhta restarted a forgotten service

“Ukrposhta” decided to resume the delivery of items “Ukrzaliznytsia”, which last practiced more than 20 years ago.

This was reported by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.

For this purpose, 14 railway wagons were put into operation, which will transport humanitarian goods.

Shipping can be done in the personal account of “Ukrposhta”and the acceptance of such goods is carried out only in post offices, which are located near the central railway stations:

• Lviv – No. 79023.

“Delivery by rail is a necessary and timely solution so that we have additional ways to deliver postal items, primarily humanitarian ones, which are in great demand,” said Igor Smelyansky, general director of Ukrposhta.

Sending one parcel weighing up to 30 kg and up to 70 cm lengthwise in this way. costs 25 UAH, which is the minimum amount. The period of storage of the parcel in the city – up to 14 days.

New service “Ukrposhta”
