Leader Clima Europa, water company of Milan Cap is second

(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 12 – Cap, the public company that manages the water service in Milan, was ranked 2nd in the Financial Times ranking of European climate leaders. The ranking, now in its second edition, shows the European companies that in the period 2015 – 2020 achieved the greatest reduction in the intensity of greenhouse gas emissions, from their operations and from the energy used. The intensity of emissions is defined in tons of CO2 per 1 million euro of income.

The ranking includes 411 European companies and is led by Logitech of Switzerland. The Italian companies are 19: Cap (2), Esprinet (15), Fastweb (21), Italgas (60), Enel (160), A2A (202), Banco BPM (214), Webuild (242), Unipol Gruppo (245 ), feralpi Holding (255), Sol (334), MM (340), Prysmian (345), Sogin (379), Prada (388), Piaggio (396), Mondadori (404), IGD SiamoQ (405), Acea Energy (409).

From 2015 to 2020, Cap reduced the intensity of its climate-altering emissions by 45.2%. The first classified Logitech (Switzerland) reduced it by 46.8%, the third, Ica Gruppen (Sweden), by 42.4%. (HANDLE).
