The petrol crisis in Ukraine is still ongoing. Fuel is not enough for everyone, and prices are rising. After the supply of weapons to Ukraine, the supply of gasoline is the second most important.

This was stated by Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko during a government meeting. She also added that they are trying to solve the fuel shortage, and Ukraine will receive a large supply by the end of May.

How many stocks are now and how many tons of fuel will be delivered in May

According to the minister, gasoline stocks will last for 5 days, and diesel – for 3. Queues at gas stations will disappear when the stocks are enough for 15 days, as it was under normal conditions.

At the same time, Ukraine has already agreed that by the end of May there will be deliveries of 350-360 thousand tons of fuel from different logistics routes.

Sviridenko noted that on average Ukrainians now use 13,000 tons of fuel per day. Wherein daily import has been less so far, and in May it will grow to 11-12 thousand tons.

“We agreed on a reverse pipeline from Hungary. An agreement was reached that we would receive 35,000 tons per month as a state. There is a possibility of increasing this volume to 50,000 tons,” Sviridenko said.

In addition, Naftogaz is now entering into contracts for the purchase of fuel abroad. As the minister noted, the main fuel suppliers in the EU were not ready for the increase in demand from Ukraine. Therefore, negotiations were held with them so that they would reorient themselves to the Ukrainian market.

Also, compared with March, imports increased.

“If in March we imported 35,000 tons by rail, in May we expect it to be 180,000 tons. We increased the import by 15 times by road. If we imported only five in March, we plan to have at least 85 in May. transport – an increase of five times,” Sviridenko said.

Fuel still won’t be enough for everyone

According to oil products market expert Leonid Kosyanchuk, in a month and a half or two months, the demand for fuel will begin to grow again through agricultural producers and harvesting.

“Citizens should be conscious. We need to save. As long as there are no unnecessary trips, we should “fasten” Wishlist, use public transport more or not go anywhere,” he noted.

Kosyanchuk calls to let more fuel for the needs of the army, which is now the most important for the country, as well as for employees of the State Emergency Service, critical infrastructure, doctors and evacuees.

Segodnya also told where they charge 40 hryvnias per liter of autogas, and wrote what would happen to the prices at gas stations after the delivery of American and European fuel to Ukraine.
