Cryptocurrencies: Oam-TorVergata survey, 39% know them well

(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 16 – Cryptocurrencies are now a widespread topic but only a minority part knows them well and a small share is ready to invest, especially among those who have more financial knowledge. From a survey carried out by Oam, the body of agents and brokers and the University of Tor Vergata on a sample of 774 Italians, it emerges that 89% of the interviewees have sometimes heard of cryptocurrencies against 11% who do not he knows nothing about it. 39%, explains the survey, know them well and 14% of those who have only heard of virtual currencies are ready to invest.

The survey shows that as the level of knowledge about cryptocurrencies increases, the propensity to invest increases. Among the 61% who have “heard of cryptocurrencies a few times”, 74% do not intend to invest in cryptocurrencies, 11% said they have bought cryptocurrencies in the past but will not do so in the future while 14%, despite knowledge superficial, he still intends to buy them for the first time in the future; 1% expressed their intention to continue their past investments in cryptocurrencies in the future. However, these are limited amounts. The majority of those who invest do not exceed the threshold of 10 thousand euros.
