Exor: Ajay Banga president, Elkann holds operational leadership

(ANSA) – TURIN, MAY 24 – The board of directors of Exor, the holding company of the Agnelli group, has decided to separate the roles of chairman and chief executive officer. Ajay Banga has been appointed as chairman and senior non-executive director of the board with immediate effect, while John Elkann will continue to lead the company’s operations in his role as chief executive officer.

Banga, who has served as president and CEO of Mastercard for more than 10 years, has been on the board of Exor since May 2021 and chaired the ESG Committee. He is known to be one of the world’s most experienced business leaders, with particular expertise in data, technology, financial services and consumer goods.
