Mfe beats estimates, profit down to 2.7 million but revenues + 3%

Mfe-mediaforeurope is not affected by the geopolitical crisis but discounts, in the first quarter of 2022, the effects of all the expenses it had to make, starting from the Italian Cup, without forgetting the costs of Covid. Consolidated net revenues are up by about 3% to 654.3 million, the operating result – which beats analysts’ estimates – is positive for 15.3 million but net profit has collapsed to 2.7 million euros compared to 52.5 million in the same period of 2021. Operating costs in fact increased by 12.8% to 639 million euros.
But even in the difficult context impacted by the conflict in Ukraine and the tail of Covid 19, the group confirms its objectives for 2022. “Advertising sales in Italy, after + 2% in the first quarter of 2022, also maintained a positive trend. in the first four months of the year, supported by the excellent performance of the overall audience for the period and by the strong value of the group’s multimedia offer “explains a note.
