Confindustria Moda: first quarter revenues + 19.3%, beyond estimates

(ANSA) – MILAN, MAY 26 – The first quarter of 2022 closes with an average increase in turnover of 19.3%, above expectations (+ 14%). This was reported by Confindustria Moda, the Italian federation that brings together the associations of the textile, fashion and accessory sectors (TMA), which presented the main final data and forecasts for the first half of the year at a press conference. The trend in orders also recorded a very positive trend (+ 15% compared to the same period of 2021). For the second quarter, the average increase in sales is expected in the order of 12.9%: a positive forecast, but with a slowdown also due to the uncertainties on the international scenario, mainly affected by the tensions of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. , partly for exports and partly for energy and raw material costs.

With these forecasts, the first half of 2022 should close with a 16% growth in turnover.
