Stock Exchange: Milan positive but weak banks, Saipem clicks

(ANSA) – MILAN, MAY 26 – The Milan Stock Exchange (%) continues in positive ground without particular momentum. In Piazza Affari weak banks while Saipem (+ 3%) takes off, grappling with the financial maneuver and in line with the energy sector. The spread between BTP and Bund drops to 194 points, with the Italian ten-year yield at 2.83%.

Negative performance for Mps (-0.4%) and Intesa (-0.1%) while Unicredit (+ 0.2%) and Banco Bpm (+ 0.6%) are positive. Bper also did well (+ 0.7%), after the green light of the ECB for the Carige operation. Session down for Stm (-0.8%), Iveco (-0.3%) and Unipol (-0.5%).

In the energy sector, in addition to Saipem, Eni (+ 0.4%) and Tenaris (+ 0.7%) also increased, with oil prices continuing to rise. Utilities also performed well while gas was down. Hera (+ 1.4%), Enel (+ 0.7%), A2a (+ 0.9%) move up. Mediolanum and Banca Generali also shine in the main list (+ 1.2%). (HANDLE).
