In Ukrainian minibuses, the cost of travel is growing rapidly due to the high cost of fuel. From June 2, the fare in public transport in Lviv and Dnepropetrovsk regions has risen, and from June 16, Ivano-Frankivsk will also suffer this fate.
This was announced by the mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk Ivan Martsinkiv in his Facebook.
Fares in the city will be 10 UAH, but for beneficiaries will remain free. Also, the rise in price will not affect public transport, its cost will remain UAH 8 – when paying with a bank card, and UAH 6 – when using the Jackdaw card.
“If before the full-scale war the cost of diesel fuel was about 30 hryvnias, now it is 58 hryvnias. Gasoline has also grown from 32 to 52 hryvnias. In addition, fuel is regularly in short supply. Already now, two routes of private carriers have stopped running in Frankivsk,” Martsinkiv explained.
Kyiv local authorities are also talking about raising fares, private carriers have already done it on some routes. But it is too early to talk about the rise in the cost of public transport.
Petrol Crisis
Banking holding and largest US bank JPMorgan predicts growth in fuel prices another 30%in addition to their already record increase.
HUG’S Managing Partner Eric Nyman said that for the year gasoline in the United States went up by 53%, which, combined with inflation of 8.3%, creates a very difficult situation, the consequences of which the whole world will feel only after a while.
In general, the cost of gasoline depends on four main factors:
- crude oil price;
- processing cost;
- shipping and marketing costs;
- taxes.
Since the beginning of the war, Ukraine has lost all ways of supplying fuel, and now the cost of fuel will depend from the situation in Europewhich, in turn, depends on the US.
Segodnya previously wrote about what is happening with gasoline prices in Poland and told about the situation at Ukrainian gas stations.
