We talk about convenient ways to replenish a Monobank card in Poland

Since the beginning of the war, many Ukrainians have left for Poland. So, replenishment of a Ukrainian bank card in this country, including Monobank, remains a rather urgent issue for many.
“Today” will tell you how this can be done.
According to Monobank, this can be done in two ways:
- without opening an account in a Polish bank;
- using an open account in one of the Polish banks.
Method number 1
In order to replenish the card without opening an account in a Polish bank, you can use the following payment systems: Western Union, MoneyGram and Ria. The main partners of the Ukrainian bank are PKO BANK and POCZTA POLSKA. Payment is possible in foreign currency by transfer number in the Monobank application, for this you need:
- press the menu “Top up the card”;
- choose one of the three systems listed above and follow the further instructions by entering the transfer number, country and amount.
Sending money will be in zlotys, receiving – at your choice: hryvnia, dollar or euro. Usually you can send up to 2-3 thousand dollars in one payment.
The commission is from 9 PLN (from 66 UAH approximately), it all depends on the amount of the transfer.
Method number 2
If you have an account in Polish banks RKO, Pekao, ING, Santander or Millenium, then having passport and local tax number (PESEL)you can send money to a Ukrainian bank card using SWIFT or SEPA transfer. Sending currency – zloty, dollar or euro.
The service fees are as follows:
- SWIFT transfer: temporarily no commission, but intermediary banks may charge;
- SEPA transfer: from 1 euro, it all depends on the amount sent.
To find your card details, go to the Monobank application in the “Top up your card” menu, click SWIFT or SEPA transfer. Note that the latter is used for payments in EUR only. For other currencies use SWIFT.
The enrollment takes place within 1-2 days.
Bankfall of Ukrainian institutions
The Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB) announced that under the threat of bankruptcy are about 20 banks, which is almost a third of the total.
And the reason for a possible bank fall there is considered a record increase in the NBU discount rate from 10% to 25%.

- Bank Sich;
- Industrialbank;
- Crystalbank;
- Sky Bank;
- Alliance;
- MTB Bank;
- “Ukrainian capital”;

- Ukrbudinvestbank;
- AP Bank (Agroprosperis Bank);
- Taskombank.
