The United States of America has introduced a new package of sanctions against Russia for the war in Ukraine. In particular, the United States banned the import of Russian gold.

“Importation into the United States of gold from the Russian Federation is prohibited, except as required by law, or licensed or otherwise authorized by the Bureau of Foreign Assets Control”the message says.
It is noted that the ban will not apply to gold that was not on the territory of Russia at the time the order of the Ministry of Finance came into force.
The White House also expanded the sanctions list for Russian citizens to include 57 more Russians.
TV presenter Tina Kandelaki, KamAZ CEO Sergey Kogogin, ex-Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov with his wife and children, and other Russians were sanctioned.
Lithuania will do without Russian gas
The Seimas of Lithuania at the legislative level banned the import of Russian gas. The exception is the transit of the resource through the Kaliningrad region.
