“Ukrposhta” ceases its activities in the occupied territories of the Kherson region.

It is reported by the Kherson City Council.

It is noted that the postal operator kept four months under occupation and continued to pay pensions and social benefits to people.

“From the first days of the occupation, we stopped receiving financial support for the payment of pensions. It became more and more difficult to collect money through paying for utilities and money transfers,” said a representative of the Kherson Directorate of Ukrposhta JSC.

Work will resume after establishment of Ukrainian power in the temporarily occupied territories. Then “Ukrposhta” will pay all arrears of pensions and social benefits for the entire period of occupation.

What will happen to pensions?

All accrued pensions are not abolished, they are simply accumulated on accounts in Oschadbank. They can also be obtained in the controlled territory at any branch of Oschadbank.

“For those who cannot receive a pension in the controlled territory, Ukrposhta will bring it after the de-occupation. The entire team did everything possible to ensure that pensioners receive a pension for four months of occupation. Unfortunately, it has become impossible now,” the message says.
