Gucci Impact Report 2021, 100% green energy in 44 countries

(ANSA) – MILAN, 05 JUL – In 2021 Gucci reduced its environmental footprint by 49% and, in particular, its greenhouse gas emissions by 46% since 2015. The Florentine fashion house has also achieved 100% green energy in 44 of the 49 countries in which the brand is present with shops, offices and factories, equal to 93% of renewable energy worldwide, and started projects and collaborations to promote regenerative agriculture practices.

These are just some of the results reported in the second Impact Report, which summarizes the commitments, progress and actions taken by the brand to generate positive change for people and for the planet.

People and the Planet are the fundamental chapters of the report, as well as the pillars of the Equilibrium project. In 2021, gender diversity at managerial level in both the corporate and retail areas increased with 58% of women in managerial roles and 42% in managerial roles; training programs on unconscious bias for over 6,000 employees and another 6,000 of those who have completed the digital training course on Diversity & Inclusion have helped to promote an inclusive work environment; more opportunities were given to people with disabilities and partnerships were created with organizations specializing in the enhancement of under-represented talents.
