Enel-Intesa, new agreement for sustainable growth of suppliers

Pnrr, Colao:

(ANSA) – MILAN, JUL 06 – Enel and Intesa Sanpaolo have signed a new agreement to support the development of their suppliers, facilitating their sustainable growth path both from the point of view of access to credit and from the point of view of managing resources.

The original agreement envisaged, for this first phase of collaboration, a perimeter of approximately 150 suppliers on which it was possible to allow the granting of 35 million euros of new credit. Given the success, the new agreement, in addition to the expansion of the range of possibilities and the focus on sustainability, will see an extension of participation to all the Italian suppliers of the Enel Group.

To achieve the “ambitious decarbonisation targets and sustainability objectives that Enel has set itself, the role of the supply chain is fundamental, which, in a moment of acceleration in investments, must constantly renew and develop”, says Francesca Di Carlo, Director Enel’s Global Procurement.

Intesa Sanpaolo aims to be an “accelerator of NRP initiatives, in particular by accompanying companies in the sustainable transition with innovative credit instruments that reward concrete actions in improving their ESG profile”, says Anna Roscio, Head of Business Sales & Marketing at Intesa St. Paul.

“The agreement with Enel testifies to the sharing of sustainability objectives with one of the main leaders in the energy transition”, highlights Richard Zatta, Head of the Global Corporate Department of the Imi Corporate & Investment Banking Division of Intesa Sanpaolo. (HANDLE).
