Due to a record decrease in production, the cost of chicken eggs may increase to 40 UAH / dozen.
This was told by the analyst of UCAB (Ukrainian club of agrarian business) Svetlana Litvin “Ukraine 24”.
Egg prices will begin to rise around August, and will reach their peak in February.
“This price will probably hold until next spring, if the situation does not change dramatically and industrial production does not increase,” the expert noted.
And all this is due to the fact that in Ukraine the production of this product has decreased to a record – almost 25% compared to 2020 volumes
. This is the last time such a rapid decline in production was recorded. about 20 years ago.
