(ANSA) – ROME, JULY 22 – Fintech Qonto announces its intention to acquire the German company Penta to create a new player on the European market in banking services for SMEs, “with over 300,000 customers and 900 employees”. As a note explains, the operation is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
The acquisition of Penta, the statement emphasizes, will allow Qonto to further accelerate its growth in all markets and achieve the goal of “becoming the preferred financial solution for one million SMEs and freelancers across Europe by 2025” . Founded in 2017, Penta “is the leading German digital business finance solution for small and medium-sized enterprises”, sole proprietors and freelancers. The company has 50,000 customers in Germany and 200 employees, based mainly in Berlin and Belgrade. (HANDLE).
