Some Soviet coins are in poor condition, but this does not lose their value.

Several thousand Soviet coins are sold at auctions for numismatists. Often, the denomination of these coins does not correspond to their real value.

“Today” found at the auction a penny, selling which you can live on a grand scale for several months and not deny yourself anything.

10 kopecks in 1946 are sold for 1.5 thousand dollars or 38.2 thousand UAH. The coin is made of a copper-nickel alloy. Although the seller indicated that the coin was in satisfactory condition, the photo shows that it does not look its best. The buyer will have to clean it.

20 kopecks of 1931 from a billon are a little more expensive – the seller asks for 2.6 thousand dollars, or 68.5 thousand hryvnias. The author writes that he took the coin out of the box in the old apartment – he did not clean or wash it. These 20 kopecks were in circulation.

For 15 kopecks in 1932, they ask for 5.7 thousand dollars or 150 thousand UAH. The coin is made of brass, and its weight is 2.54 g. The seller assures of its authenticity and even offers to conduct an examination, but at the buyer’s expense.

At the same time, for the same 15 kopecks in 1932, other sellers ask for much less – $ 1.
