NBU issues three new coins in honor of the Ukrainian Armed Forces – what the new UAH 10 looks like

The National Bank has created a limited edition of new coins in honor of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The National Bank presented three new coins dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was reported by the NBU press service, and two new coins will appear in circulation on December 1, the third one will be in circulation since November 11.

All coins have a denomination of 10 UAH and are dedicated to different types of troops:

  • “Armed Forces of Ukraine”;
  • “Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”;
  • Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Commemorative coins are made of non-precious zinc-base alloy and plated with nickel. In total, 1 million of these copies will be released in Ukraine.

Three new coins will be a replenishment of the series dedicated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched in 2018. There are already 12 commemorative coins in the series, the first of which is in honor of the defenders of the airport in Donetsk.

New five hryvnias

Earlier, the NBU presented another commemorative coin with a denomination of 5 hryvnia in honor of the symbol of 2022 according to the Eastern calendar – the tiger.

The coin depicts a Tiger on the obverse, and on the reverse side there is a large hour hand surrounded by symbols of each season: snowflakes, flowers, fruits and branches.

“Segodnya” also said that new banknotes of 20 and 200 hryvnias will appear in Ukraine, which are dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of our country and wrote for which coins you can get a whole bunch of money.
