(ANSA) – ROME, DECEMBER 03 – “Yesterday was an important meeting with the Government after the turbulence of recent days that put social dialogue back on track”. The Secretary General of the CISL, Luigi Sbarra, said this on Radio Anch’io this morning. “It is a very important and significant step in a difficult situation to be able to count on a billion and a half cut in employee contributions,” he continued. “Talking about a general strike still seems premature to me”, he specified, adding that the initiatives of struggle in the workplace and in the territories put in place “will continue”.
“Yesterday the government anticipated its willingness to raise the no tax area to 8500 euros which essentially concerns pensioners. Another commitment undertaken for 2022 is the full revaluation of pensions,” said Sbarra. “Yesterday we renewed the request to the government to try in the next few hours an operation to further strengthen the tax benefits for employees and retirees placed in the low and medium-low income brackets,” he added.
