Businesses: Milanese start-up wins the National Innovation Award

(ANSA) – MILAN, 03 DEC – The Milanese start-up Sinergy Flow has won the National Innovation Award, organized by Pnicube, the Italian Association of University Incubators and Business Plan Competitions.

The project had earned the final, held at the Tor Vergata University of Rome, winning one of the prizes offered by the Lombardy Region in the 2021 edition of Startcup Lombardia, the regional competition, promoted by the Lombardy Region and coordinated by PoliHub and the Universities and Lombard University Incubators. Sinergy Flow was elected as the best Italian startup, beating the competition of 63 other young companies, during the finals of the nineteenth edition.

The Sinergy Flow project proposes an innovative battery for medium and large scale stationary energy storage. The flow cell battery (Rfb) uses the sulfur-rich waste from the petrochemical industry, with a low installation cost and high performance, in full compliance with the principles of the circular economy.
