Saga Coffee: trade unions-Evoca, agreement on layoffs

(ANSA) – BOLOGNA, 22 JAN – The layoffs for the 194 employees of Saga Coffee in Gaggio Montano (Bologna) have been extended until the end of February. The agreement reached Bologna today, in a table between the Evoca property and the workers’ representatives. The shock absorber expired on January 31, but the unions had asked for another month of coverage to continue negotiations with the outgoing group and the two purchasing companies, Tecnostamp Triulzi and Minifaber. Evoca, for its part, asked for the availability of some workers to carry out inventory operations inside the plant, closed and manned by employees (80% women) from the beginning of November 2021. The next meeting with Evoca will be on 28th. January and there we will enter into the merits of the incentives and the exit mechanisms of the 44 employees who will not be reabsorbed in the next three years in the reindustrialisation project. In the meantime, negotiations with the buyers will be started.
