Foundation for the Development of Ukrainian Music urged to abandon Russian films and music

Recall that we recently reported that the Ministry of Culture is preparing sanctions for 47 stars who support Putin’s war in Ukraine. Now there is information from the Foundation for the Development of Ukrainian Music, which calls to abandon Russian films and music.

The following message appeared on the Facebook of the Foundation for the Development of Ukrainian Music:

Friends, we, employees and partners of the Foundation for the Development of Ukrainian Music, like all Ukrainians, are in deep shock from what we saw and experienced during the 40 days of the war. The final proof that destroys all the myths about “great Russian culture” and “Russian spiritual bonds” are the executions of civilians in Bucha, Irpen, Gostomel and dozens of other settlements in our country. Looting, violence, war crimes, vandalism, desecration, robbery and sadism – today these are synonyms for the word “Russian” and for the concept of “Russian culture”.

The influence of Russian content is devastating, because it is part of propaganda and carries “poisoned values ​​and sadistic messages”.

We have already become fully convinced that Russian films and music carry poisonous programs of behavior, poisoned values ​​and sadistic messages. Otherwise, it is impossible to explain the behavior of monster invaders who grew up under the influence of this culture and staged brutal executions of civilians and looting in our cities.

They call the media forever stop broadcasting Russian series and films, radio stations and music TV channels remove music of Russian origin from your airand bloggers – do not use Russian music in your social networks.

The Foundation is also reaching out to BP to make the changes legal:

We appeal to the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada with a call to create a law on quoting Ukrainian music on the air of music radio stations and music TV channels at a level of at least 50% of the airtime. We ask the initiative groups that worked on the law on quotas of 2016 to improve this law, to work on the mistakes that led to the possibility of manipulation by some radio stations and, as a result, to the sabotage of the law on quotas (Law No. 3822-d “On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine” On television and radio broadcasting
