Meet the new Miss World Australia: the glamorous biomedical student Kristen Wright wins the contest

A biomedical science student from Victoria will represent Australia at its world competition in Puerto Rico in December.

Kristen Wright, 23, was awarded the Miss World title in Australia on Friday at a ceremony at Palazzo Versace on the Gold Coast.

The beautiful blonde received the crown of her World Cup in Australia 2019 Sarah Marshall.

Kristen is competing in her world pageant, the oldest beauty pageant in the world, reports 2020. correspondence.

The night’s runners were Ruby Scofield from NSW and Emma Hill from Queensland.

After receiving the crown, Kristen said she felt “overwhelmed”.

“But it’s a great honor for me to win this title and I hope to be proud of the international competition in Australia,” said Kristen.

The current “Miss World” is the Polish Karolina Bielawska, 23 years old.

The jury consisted of Simone Elliott of The Real Housewives of Melbourne, I’m a Famous Person… Get Me Out of Here stars Ali Simpson and Jade Kevin Foster of the Netflix hit Byron Base.

There were 24 national finalists in the Miss World Australia pageant and they managed to raise an impressive $389,000 for the Variety Charitable Foundation.

The closure of Covid-19 complicated the competition.

“I now realize that this competition is an opportunity for women to come together and create something important and lasting, and it’s priceless,” Kristen said.

But the lovely Kristen said they were a blessing in disguise and allowed the beauty to establish a meaningful platform for her global competition.

Kristen is a certified scuba instructor with over 36 certifications in the field and is also one of Victoria’s youngest qualified scuba instructors.
