This year, Queen Elizabeth, who recently turned 96, celebrates the platinum anniversary of her reign. A number of events are planned for this period, including the Trooping the Color parade in honor of the Queen’s birthday.

Traditionally, on this day, members of the royal family gather on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch the celebration together. However, this year, Elizabeth II decided not to invite everyone.

According to CNN, to the balcony did not invite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as well as Prince Andrew. According to a spokesman for the palace, only those family members who perform their royal duties will watch the parade with the queen.

Recall that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle voluntarily renounced their powers back in 2020, but Elizabeth’s beloved son, Prince Andrew, was left without a title after a high-profile sex scandal.

However, this does not mean that the dukes will not be able to attend during the celebrations. Moreover, as previously reported, the queen will still expect Harry and Megan to visit the palace.

Earlier it became known that due to health problems, the queen will practically not appear in public.
