British group Pet Shop Boys refused concerts in Russia: we are waiting for fascism to collapse

Pop duo Pet Shop Boys canceled their tours in Russia because of the full-scale war in Ukraine. Thus, the musicians expressed their solidarity with the Ukrainian people

Pet Shop Boys are waiting for the overthrow of the Putin regime

In vain, Putin’s authorities in the Russian Federation create lists of “undesirable artists” who are banned from entering the aggressor country. After all, no one is eager to go to the Russians because their soldiers have invaded the territory of the sovereign state of Ukraine and are committing horrific crimes.

The British duo Pet Shop Boys posted on Instagram a photo of a concert poster in Russia, saying that their arrival is canceled as long as the dictator is in power.

The musicians explained that in 2009 they started the Pandemonium world tour in St. Petersburg. The artists also remembered that they visited the Russian Federation many times and wrote songs on the Russian theme, inspired by this country.

Now it is unacceptable to go there or give concerts. But we look forward to the day when fascism falls in Russia, criminal politicians are convicted, the truth will be heard, and neighboring countries will not be threatened and invaded. And a new Russia will be born. Hopefully we’ll still be around to see this,” the Pet Shop Boys said in a post.
