MELOVIN declared his bisexuality back in June last year. Since then, the artist has openly supported the LGBT community in social networks and at his concerts. This time, the artist performed his poignant composition, written after the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, and raised the LGBT flag on the stage.

At the end of the performance, the artist, holding a rainbow flag in his hand, said:

Ukraine is a free, courageous, modern and democratic state! Ukraine respects the rights of the LGBT community! We are one! Please donate, Ukraine needs your support.

Note that earlier MELOVIN publicly condemned the singer Irina Fedyshyn, who spoke out against LGBT people. Irina is sure that being a gay, lesbian or other LGBT representative is a “great sin”. For this, MELOVIN called the artist a “fool” and advised her to “go and light a candle for the rest of her career.” Fedyshyn’s answer was not long in coming.
